The Pay for a Period (P4P) project is our first initiative, developed with the goal to fight period poverty in Ghana through education, advocacy, and fundraising. Our hope is to provide schoolgirls and women in underserved communities with an all-year-round supply of safe menstrual hygiene products and equip them with the necessary information on menstrual health that will ensure that they have safe, comfortable, and dignified periods.
The P4P project seeks to alleviate period poverty in selected communities in the country by supporting young women and girls with sanitary products during their periods alongside information on menstrual health, including best practices regarding hygiene. This will ultimately lead to the achievement of the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
