The Pay for a Period (P4P) project is our flagship initiative, developed with the goal to fight period poverty in Ghana through education, advocacy, and fundraising. Our hope is to provide schoolgirls in deprived communities with an all-year-round supply of safe menstrual hygiene products and equip them with the necessary information on menstrual health that will ensure that they have safe, comfortable, and dignified periods.
The P4P project seeks to alleviate period poverty in selected communities in the country by supporting young ladies with sanitary products during their periods and providing information on menstrual hygiene best practices. This will ultimately lead to the achievement of the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
